Introduction: DIY FASHION FORWARD POM POM SCARF
Have you ever wanted to have a fashion forward scarf but you can’t afford it? In this DIY project you will learn how to make a Cheap and Easy Pom Pom Scarf.
Step 1: Get Started
To get started, you need to pick what size that you want your Pom Poms to be. Pull the yarn through the two taps at the end of the “rainbow” as shown in the picture. Then pull the yarn to the other side, pull it through the taps as well, and start wraping it around the rainbow a shown in the third picture.
PRO TIP: I suggest using the 4 inch piece from the kit, they should be labeled. The kit should come with instructions if you don’t understand.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR NO KIT: For this step all you will do is wrap it around you fingers.

Step 2: Gather Your Supplies
Step 1 of any DIY project is to find your supplies. For the scarf I bought a Pom Pom making kit (the kit is optional, we will tell you how to do it without the kit later in the tutorial). I found the kit at Joann’s for around $20 and I know that’s expensive, but it is worth it because it are really helpful. I also found some yarn at Joann’s and Micheals for a few bucks and some at my house. Feel free to use any color you wish. Get out you scissors and start crafting.
PRO TIP: When buying yarn make sure you have extra because you may run out. Buy colors that complement each other and that are the same texture.

Step 3: Repeat
Repeat step two until you have 17-30 Pom Poms. The reasoning for the big gap in numbers is you have a certain length that your ideal scarf is.
PRO TIP: To finish the scarf in a few days I recommend making about 5-10 a days depending on what size scarf you want. Measure the length of you scarf as you go so your scarf isn’t shorter or longer than you want it.

Step 4: Put It All Together
Pull a very long string that is a couple of inches longer than the size that you want your scarf. Then you tie the string as shown in the first picture. After that, pull the string through all, but one of your Pom poms. Then add your last Pom Pom and tie it off. Cut off all of the extra string and Vwah Lah! You have your stylish fashion forward Pom Pom Scarf!
