DIY Furry Pet

Here's a little bit of background about how this idea originated. Recently, my daughter's beloved pet got stained. Not even my daughter remembers how it happened (or don't want to remember). I tried harsh products, acetone and nothing works.

Then I saw my daughter playing with pipe cleaners, she was making some scarfs for her little puppy, she loves the texture and she says a fluffy scarf is a fancy accessory. And that's how I came up with this idea. I hope you'll like it as much as I do !

Step 1: ​Gather Your Materials

Pipe cleaners (for the head and tail I used 2)

A toy pet

Clear nail polish

Step 2: Cut

It's better if the pipe cleaner is the same colour of the area you'll cover.

Start by cutting the hairs of the pipe cleaner, first cut the strands in half, then cut it as close to the wire as possible.

Step 3: Glue

Use the clear nail polish to put a little drop on about 1cm.

Immediately take a little bit of fluff, and lightly press it into that spot.

Repeat until you finish the area.

Step 4: Rub

Wait at least 30 minutes.

Because the nail polish isn't directly exposed to the air it will take longer to dry than when you paint your nails.

Rub lightly the furry parts, some fluff will fall down and you might see bald spots.

Glue more fluff where needed. Repeat gluing, waiting, rubbing until all the surface is well covered.

Step 5: Enjoy!

That's it now you have a furry pet that will bring hours of fun to the kids!
