DIY Gift Envelope

Introduction: DIY Gift Envelope

About: Hi! My name is Irina. I speak English, Russian & German. I have been making DIY videos for my Youtube channel for 4 years (channel name is You Can Do It Craft). There is not such a craft that I can't tackl…

This idea can be used for any holiday or event when your gift is money or a gift card or tickets to the concert and similar. Such gifts can be packed in a nice handmade envelope with your own style.

  • Any medium or thick paper to your liking;
  • Printed out photo or an image (on a copy paper, color printer preferable);
  • scissors, a ruler, a pencil, a glue stick.

Here is the step by step video tutorial:

I will be glad if you visit my YouTube channel for more tutorials.

Step 1: Take a Thick Paper to Your Liking and a Printed Out Image

To make an envelope you can use wrapping paper or scrapbook paper or color card stock or just plain medium to thick paper. A4 size is ok to make a money envelope or for a gift card. Don't use copy paper, the result wil not be neat enough.

The artist of the Hearts image that I use is Belinda Fireman

Step 2: Cut a Square and Find the Center Using a Ruler

Step 3: Fold an Envelope

Step 4: Take a Printed Out Photo or an Image, Place the Envelope Over It and Trace the Outline With a Pencil

Step 5: Cut a Little Bellow the Pencil Line (you May Use Scissors or a Cutting Knife)

Step 6: Apply Glue to the Whole Surface of a Cut-out and Glue It Inside the Envelope

Step 7: Now Glue the Envelope

Step 8: Sign the Envelope, Insert Your Gift and Seal With a Sticky Tape or a Nice Sticker

That's all, the envelope is ready! You may choose any paper to make a nice envelope to your liking and choose your photo or upload any free image from the Internet to meet the taste of whom your gift is aimed.
