Introduction: DIY Glitter Slime!
There many different ways to create your own slime, but I am here to show you how to make glitter slime! This DIY is fun, quick and cute (also not very costly). As long as you follow these instructions carefully, there should be no complications.
Step 1: Gather the Ingredients
These are the ingredients you will need to successfully create your very own glitter slime!
1) Two large size bowls
2) 1 1/2 cups of water
3) 1 tbsp of borax (14 grams)
4) 1/2 cup of crafting glue (170grams)
5) glitter (normal glitter or glitter glue) and dye
6) stirring tool
Step 2: Bowl Number One
Take your first bowl (plastic or glass, doesn't matter) and measure one cup of water before transferring it to the empty bowl. After you need to take your borax (which can be found easily in the laundry isle of a store or a local Apotheke) and measure out one tablespoon of borax. Pour the borax into the bowl with water.
Step 3: Stirring the Borax and Water
Once your first bowl contains water and borax, you need to stir them together. This a simple step however there is a specific stirring motion I advice you to do. and stir the two together one direction. Do not stir zig-zag or crossed. Just clockwise or counterclockwise.thirty seconds to a minute.
Step 4: Bowl Number 2
After setting your first bowl aside, take your second empty bowl and place it in front of you.
Pour your 1/2 cup of water and glue into this bowl. You want to stir these two substances first before you grab your pre-made glitter (or bottle of glitter, whatever color you'd please) and pour glitter into the bowl and stir. The amount of glitter and dye is your decision, however, be cautious.
Step 5: Combine Both Bowls Together
After you've made your two bowls, pour the water and borax solution into the glue and glitter. Then take your mixing tool and stir everything together. Stir for about forty seconds then let the slime set for one minute.
Step 6: Handling the Slime
After waiting for a minute, you can scoop the slime out of the bowl. The consistency will come out very watery, so I advise you to try squeezing the extra water into the bowl.
Step 7: Play With Your Glitter Slime!
The more you play with the slime the stronger the consistency will become so no excess of the slime will stick to your skin or the surface it is against. Once you're done playing with your slime, put it in a Tupperware with a sealed lid over it. This will make it easily accessible and portable whenever and wherever!
