Introduction: DIY Google Cardboard (For Under One Dollar!!)

Google Cardboard is a virtual reality (VR) platform developed by Google for use with a head mount for a smartphone. Named for its fold-out cardboard viewer, the platform is intended as a low-cost system to encourage interest and development in VR applications.

Step 1: MATERIALS

•cardboard

•Google lenses (or any lenses. You can get them for under $1 on a website such as aliexpress)

•Velcro/rubber band/tape

•magnets

Step 2: Template

Print out this template on letter paper and glue onto cardboard

Step 3: Cutting Out the Pieces

Cut out cardboard pieces with craft knife and fold where necessary

Step 4: Assemble

Follow instructions online to assemble. (TIP: Use hot glue to set pieces in place then use tape to secure further)
