Introduction: DIY: Gorgeous Spring Luminary

About: I'm a hippie flower child who loves Led Zeppelin, music in general (seriously though, I'll listen to anything! <3) nature, summertime, and thunderstorms. :)

Hey, y'all! I know it's been a LOOONG time since the last DIY! The past 3 years have done a number on me, BUT, I'm back in the saddle again and I wanted to share this gorgeous spring luminary with y'all. So, let's get started, shall we? :)

Supplies

For this tutorial, you'll need:

-Card Stock

-Mod Podge

-Pencil

-A clean jar

-Paint brushes

-Clear Sealer

-Scissors

-Paint in white and a color of your choosing

-Tacky Glue

-Flower templates

Step 1: It's a Material Thing. ;)

Grab your jar and wash it thoroughly. Wipe it with some rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer to remove any residue. Then add your glitter and paint your lid.

Step 2: Is It Me, or Do These Flowers Look a Little....Flat? ;)

SOMEONE got a little overzealous with the iron! ;)

Anywho, grab your card stock, your pencil, your templates, your scissors, and a craft knife. Trace around your templates onto your card stock and carefully cut them out. You should have 8 flowers when you're done. When I'm cutting out multiple flowers (or other shapes), I like to glue the corners of the card stock together so they don't shift around while I cut and ruin my shapes. I've used this trick for ages!

Step 3: Darlin', You Look Sparklin' Fabulous! ;)

Just beautiful! <3

Now, grab your lid and flowers and add your glitter. Let them dry and then glue them onto your luminary. Then, seal the whole thing with your Mod Podge, and let that dry. Then seal it again with your sealer. Pop that flameless tea light in and enjoy! :D
