Introduction: DIY Instructables Necklace

In this instructable I will show you how to make an instructables robot necklace, this project can be completed in about an hour, and looks great when completed! this can also be added to your Halloween Costume

You will need :

-A small pieces of aluminum metal
-Coping saw
-Robot picture
-Permanent marker
-file
-sand paper
-drill

Step 1: Make the Stencle

First print out the robot picture, cut it out and place it on the metal piece and trace it with a permanent marker, I made the robot into a sticker and left it on there for now but you can just trace it.

Step 2: Cutting It Out

Now, cut the robot out with your coping saw, I clamped it down to my counter top and then cut it out. Don't worry about rough edges or square-ish legs, because you can file them out later

Step 3: Make It Purdy

Once its cut out clamp it to the counter and file the edges to make it look better. Then I sanded the top to make it smooth and look better.

Step 4: Engrave Details

Once the edges are file down i put the picture of the robot back on and used a x-acto knife to scrape the details in.

Step 5: Finishing Up


now drill the hole in the top corner of his head, and attach a necklace jump ring and string through. And You're done! Ask if you have any questions regarding the build.
