Introduction: Ipod Dock for a Couple of Dollars
I am showing you how to make an Ipod dock for a couple of dollars out of an electrical box, a dock adapter, and the cable that came with the iphone/ipod. Note: this can work with any ipod you want if you use the right dock adapter.
Step 1: Supplies
In this step i'll be showing what supplies you will need to build this dock.
The first thing you will need is the box to support the dock adapter.
The second thing you will need is the dock adapter (can be for any ipod).
The third you will need is the cable to hook you dock up to the computer. Make shure this cable doesn't have the buttons on the side to release it from the ipod, those won't work for this dock. Make shure it looks like the cable I'm holding up in the picture

Step 2: Start Building
in this step you will need to cut out a hole in the box for the dock adapter to sit in. I suggest if using a electrical box, drill starter holes and then use a hacksaw because an exacto knife wont cut through the plastic. Also make shure to cut out a hole on the back of the box for the cable to come out.
Step 3: Glue the Cable to the Adapter
In this step you will have to glue the cable to the dock adapter. Make shure the plug on the cable does not get glue on it so it wont screw up the plug on the ipod. Wait until you are shure the glue is dry so it wont get stuck inside the ipod.
Step 4: Finishing It Up
last thing. you will have to glue the dock adapter and cable to the box so it wont come loose, and so the ipod doesn't fall out.
