Introduction: DIY Kid's Room Chandelier

This an easy to make decoration for your kid's room or classroom, that requires little time and very few materials. Enjoy!

Step 1: Materials/Tools Needed

-straws

-hot glue gun

-string (any kind)

Step 2: Step 1

Take about 7 or 8 straws (color doesn't matter) and set them out.

Step 3: Step 2

Cut the straws up into pieces of about 3 inches long.

Step 4: Step 3

Carefully hot glue each of the pieces of straw together, slightly curving each one, until it forms a full circle.

Step 5: Step 4

Cut another 3 inch piece of straw and hot glue it to the center of the circle.

Step 6: Step 5

Cut off a piece of string (approximately 11 1/2 inches, but it really doesn't matter) and tie it around the center of the circle. Make sure it is in the direct center of the center straw piece, and then hot glue it.

Step 7: Step 6

Cut three pieces of string (approximately 10 inches long each) and tie them together at the end. Then braid the string all the way down and hot glue the end or tie it (whichever you prefer). Trim the ends if necessary. Repeat the process as many times as you like (I did 6 braids).

Step 8: Step 7

Hot glue the end of the braided string to every 4rth straw (I just glued the braids to all the red ones since I did them in color order).

Step 9: Step 8

You're finished! Now you can use this as a decoration in the classroom or your kid's room, or wherever you'd like!
