Introduction: DIY LED Light
If you are finding something to decorate your room, the LED light will be an excellent item for the interior. It will not only look good but will also make a completely different mood in your room.
There won't be many supplies needed still you will be able to be creative and use it as a beautiful mood lamp. I am sure that you will be satisfied after you've made it by yourself. It will be fun and very easy to make, so have fun!
Supplies
- EL Wire
- Battery Type Adapter
- Craft Wire
- Design Reference
- Insulating Tape
- Bulk with 2 AA Batteries
- Tape Scissors
Step 1: Make a Drawing Reference
Pick a drawing that you like and trace it the way you want your sign to look like.
For me, I chose my school’s mascot and traced the outline.
Step 2: Fix the Craft Wire to the EL Wire
Attach the craft wire to the EL wire so that the EL wire can be traced over the reference drawing.
I chose to tape the craft wire to the EL wire.
Step 3: Shape Your EL Wire
Trace the reference drawing with the EL wire.
This will take the most time to do but after this step, you will be able to see the final shape of your LED sign.
Tip. fold the wire over the ruler to shape the wire easily!
Step 4: Use Insulating Tape
If you want to make a space between the light, use the insulating tape to cover the light.
I used insulating tape to cover the leftover lights
Step 5: Make It Work
Connect the battery type adapter to the EL wire and place the AA Batteries in the battery type adapter.
Step 6: Hang It on the Wall
Use the tapes to hang it on the wall!
Step 7: Done!
Turn off your lights and turn on the LED light!
Wish you had fun, thank you! :)

Great job! I like how the raptor matches the school's colors with the blue and the white. The instruction is very informative but I wonder how much does the LED light make light? Is it making enough light so you can read or is it just enough light to be visible?

Hi Hera,
Your project seems to be great for a decorative purpose. It is easy to be made and the materials are easily accessible. You added the detailed step so that people can easily follow your instructions. You specified which batteries you used for the project so it makes easy for the readers to follow your project. I also like the photos of the LED turned on that you posted at the end of the step so that the readers can see the final step. Well-done.

Hey Hera,
Your project looks amazing! The instructions were easy to follow. The final product was clean and clear yet looked very interesting. I love how you included a description on why this product is useful. I face the same problem of having to turn my lights off continuously and this product can help me with that. Furthermore, I liked how it can be used as a decorative element since it's simple and looks really nice.
