Introduction: Lego IPod Dock

About: I like taking electronics apart and finding a project to do with them, like one time I took apart a computer. Or two, of three, or four! And I put one in a cardboard case, but it would not boot up, I did not…

This is a simple Lego iPod dock that you can build in a single afternoon. It is very simple to make. Oh, and by the way this is my first instructable, so I hope you like it!

Step 1: Gather Pieces

1. 1 16x8 plate
2. 4 8x2s
3. 8 3x2s
4. 12 2x2s
5. 8 6x2s
6. 5 4x2s
7. 2 1x2s
8. 2 1x4s
9. 2 1x6s
10. 2 1x1s

Step 2: Main Body

Stack 4 2x6s on top of each other, and place on board as shown.  Build two walls around the piece that you just made as shown.

Step 3: Another Wall!

Build the wall as shown in the pictures

Step 4: Building the Cord Holder

stack the 2x2 pieces on top of each other as shown.  Then place a 2x2, and a 1x1 on top of them as shown.

Step 5: USB Cord

Put the USB charger across the two Lego pieces as shown.  Then secure the cord down with Lego pieces.

Step 6: Finish the Back Wall

Step 8: Testing 1, 2, 3.

Plug in your iPod and your done!

2. 6 1x2s

Step 11: Putting It All Together

I Just built it and modified for iPhone no problems nice work iApple guy. I just widened the cradle & made less back wall to make iPhone lean at a nice angle, the hardest bit was finding all my bits in my sons GoGoSac full of lego but at least clean up of lego after was easy.
