Hello Friends.....

This is my new instructable named 'DIY PAPER CLOCK' .After the completion of the clock I felt an emotion that can be explianed without any words.The speciality of my clock is that it is made only with papers.

And the it is a 'PEACOCK PAPER CLOCK'........

My peacock paper clock is a wall hanging with a color of 'Cerulean blue' and green.

Let us start.....

Step 1: SUPPLIES

Newspapers
Color paper
Fevicol
Flex Kwik
Sketch pen
Compass
Pencil
Scissor
Tooth pick

Acrylic paints: Acrylic paints are used for the painting of the base of the clock and peacock.

Brush: For painting

Double sided Tape

Step 2: Making of Paper Roll

In this step we have to make paper roll for the base of the clock.

Take a newspaper. Cut the paper into two.

Take one tooth pick. Fold the paper from one edge.The tooth pick is used to fold the edge to get a uniform roll.Remove the pick whenever we get a uniform roll in a ordinary manner a uniform roll can be achieved by a three or four folds.

Apply fevicol at the end portion of the edge of the paper.

The paper rolls are ready.

Repeat the same process for a remaining papers.I made 5 rolls.

The process are shown in the above pictures.

Step 3: BASE OF THE CLOCK

In this step we have to make the base for our clock.Take one newspaper roll.

Fold the end of the paper as shown in the picture.

Apply fevicol to the end of the fold.

Take the second paper roll.Apply fevicol to the one end of the roll.Attach it to the folded one as shown in the picture.

Repeat this process for the remaining paper rolls.

The base of the clock is ready.

Step 4: Making of Clock Face

In this step we have to make a clock face.

Take a white colored paper.Place the paper base on it.Draw the round shape on the paper using pencil as shown in the above pictures.

Cut the round shape using scissors.

Apply fevicol on the any face of the paper. Fix that face on the paper base.

NEXT.......

Measure the radius of the paper base using the compass with pencil.

Take a blue colored paper and draw the circle with the radius taken in the compass.

Reduce the radius to desired length in the compass and draw it inside the first circle.

Cut the circle by using the scissor as shown in the above picture.

Write the numbers 1 to 12 in the blue colored round shaped one using black sketch pen as shown in the pictures..

Apply the fevicol and fix it .

Our CLOCK FACE IS READY.....

Step 5: Making of HOUR HAND

In this step we are going to make a 'HOUR HAND'.

The HOUR HAND is the shortest hand that points to the hour.

For this we need the materials such as

1.A Yellow color paper piece(desired length and breadth)

2.Scissors

3.Pencil

Take the yellow color paper piece. Fold the paper in length wise manner.Place it on the clock face and mark the length we need.

Cut the paper through the mark.And cut it to get a shape shown in my images.

The process are shown in the pictures clearly.

The HOUR HAND is READY...........!

Step 6: Making of MINUTE HAND

Making of MINUTE HAND to the clock is done in this step..

Take a another yellow colored paper piece.Fold it in length wise manner.

Place it on the clock face and mark the sizes we need to built a minute hand for our clock.

Cut through the mark using scissors.And make it a shape as shown in the figures.

MINUTE HAND is READY........

Step 7: Making of SECOND HAND

Here we have to make a SECOND HAND for our clock...

Take a small piece of yellow colored paper.Fold length wise manner.

Cut it to get a triangle shape.And cut to get a shape shown in my picture..

The SECOND HAND is READY.......

All procedures are shown in my above picture...

Step 8: Fixing of HOUR,SECOND and MINUTE HANDS

Here we have to fix the HOUR HAND,SECOND HAND and MINUTE HAND on the clock face.

First I fix the HOUR HAND by applying fevicol to the flattened end place it on the center.

My HOUR HAND points to the 12...

Second I fix the MINUTE HAND.

My minute hand points to the 5..

At last I fix the Second Hand on the minute hand..

It points to 3..

Our HANDS for the clock are READY........

After this apply the Cerulean blue color acrylic paint on the sides of my clock.

OUR CLOCK IS READY..

Step 9: Decoration

After completion of my clock ........

My mind told me that Why should I made a clock like a peacock shaped one?.....!

THEN .........

So I decided to make a peacock paper clock....

The blue colored and green colored paper is used for the making of the peacock's body and peacock's tail.

Lets start ....

Step 10: Making of PEACOCK'S TAIL

The peacock's tail is known as the TRAIN.....

For the making of PEACOCK'S TAIL , we need a Green colored paper.

We need a small strips for making the shape like a tear drop..

So fold the paper in length wise as shown in picture.The size is approximately same as the clock base.

Cut each strips of paper using scissors..

a large number of strips are ready..

AFTER THIS............

We want to make TEAR DROP shape as peacock's tail.

For this take one strip. Hold the strip on the acrylic paint bottle.

Apply fevicol at that end and fold and apply fevicol to the other end.

this round shaped strip can be obtained.

Press anywhere to get a tear drop shape..

Step 11: Making of PEACOCK'S BODY

I want to make a peacock's body......

For that I draw a peacock's body on the white paper using pencil and cut it to get a sharp shape of the body.

Then I take a blue colored paper and fold it. Place the peacock's body shaped white paper on it and mark it on the blue colored paper.cut the shape using scissors..Apply the GREEN color to the beak of the peacock.

NEXT....

The making of CREST...

CREST is the crown on the top of the head of the peacock.

Draw 3 shapes on the blue colored paper as shown on the picture.

Cut that 3 shapes using scissors.

Take the fevicol cap and place it on the blue colored paper and draw to get a circle shape.cut it.

The circles are fix on the tip of the curved shaped strip using fevicol.

Apply the GREEN paint on the circles..
