Introduction: DIY PVC Bow Stand - Cheap and Easy

What you'll need: 5- T PVC Fittings, 4- Corner PVC Fittings, 2- End Caps, 1- Cross Piece, 1- 1 1/4" x 1 1/2" Coupling, 1- 1 1/2" x 2" Coupling, 1- 2" x 3" Coupling, 1- 2' 2" PVC Pipe, 2- 10' 1 1/4" PVC Pipe, PVC Cement, a saw and a compound bow

  1. We're going to start by cutting the 1 1/4" PVC pipe first, making 2 cuts at 2 3/4" long and 2 cuts at 3" long
  2. Now cut 2 more pieces at 8" long
  3. Make 2 more cuts, each at 20" long
  4. Next, we'll build the bottom frame which will be a square
  5. Attach the 4 corner pieces to the 2 20" long pieces you just cut
  6. Now take the two 8" pieces to create the third side of the square and connect the two 20" pieces with these pieces, including one of your T fittings in the middle of the two 8" pieces
  7. To finish the fourth and final side of the bottom frame, place your 2 3/4" long PVC into a corner piece, then a T fitting, then a 3" long PVC, then another T fitting,then your last 3" PVC piece, then a T fitting, then your final 2 3/4" long PVC piece to finish the base
  8. Now back to the cutting
  9. Cut a 9" long piece and a 9 1/4" long piece of your 1 1/4" PVC pipe
  10. Place both of these pieces into each middle T of the square base you just made, creating a 'beam' running through the middle of the base, running parallel to your 20" long pieces, connecting these two pieces with your final T fitting
  11. Take the rest of your PVC pipe and place it upright in the middle T fitting you just put in the middle of the base, it should be pretty tall
  12. Use your bow to measure how tall you'll want this stand piece and cut away the excess
  13. Place your cross piece at the top of this PVC stand you just placed and cut
  14. Cut two more 8" long PVC pieces from your 1 1/4" PVC pipe and place them horizontal into your cross fitting
  15. Put your two caps onto the ends of these two pieces
  16. Lastly, cut a PVC piece that is just a few inches long and put it in the top of the cross fitting
  17. No we're ready to build the cup holder!
  18. Place your 1 1/2" coupling onto the short top PVC pipe you just placed
  19. Follow it with the 2" coupling
  20. Now cut a couple inches off of your 2" PVC pipe and place it into your 2" coupling
  21. Followed by topping it off with your 3" coupling
  22. There you have it, a cup holder!
  23. Cut two more 11" long pieces from your 1 1/4" PVC pipe
  24. Place them into your two open, upright T fittings, these will hold your arrows!
  25. Now that you have everything in place, you're ready to glue everything to make sure this bow holder is sturdy and ready for the range!
