Introduction: DIY Pico De Gallo

How to make Pico de Gallo

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

  • 4 Roma Tomatoes
  • 1 Jalapeno
  • 1 Head of Cilantro
  • 1 Yellow Onion
  • 1 Lime
  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Step 2: Onion

  • Peel the Skin off the Onion
  • Dice the Onion into Small Chunks

Step 3: Jalapeno

  • Cut the End off the Jalapeno
  • Cut the Jalapeno in Half
  • Use a spoon to take out the seeds
  • Slice EACH half slice into fine slices
  • Finely dice into small pieces

Warning: Jalapenos Can Cause Skin Irritation

Step 4: Tomatoes

  • Cut the top stem and bottom off the tomato
  • Slice the tomato into whole slices
  • Stack the slices then cut across vertically and horizontally

Step 5: Cilantro

  • Cut off the stems; only keep the leaves
  • Chopped the leaves into small pieces

Step 6: Add Together

  • Put all the ingredients in a bowl
  • Add in Minced Garlic, Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Squeeze in the lime juice
  • Mix Together
