DIY Simple Paper Stars

Check out these super-easy paper stars, perfect for decoration or as parts of other bigger projects! :)

Step 1: Cut Paper Strips

Get some paper! It can be pattern paper, color paper, wrapping paper or just plain and you can decorate it yourself! Cut it into even strips.

Step 2: Tie a Knot

Start tying a strip of paper into a know(gently!) on one end and slowly form it into a pentagon shape. Fold back the little piece sticking out on top, or cut it off.

Step 3: Wrap It Around

Start wrapping around the "tail" of the star and let the strip lead its own way, just follow it and you'll see it will never go over the same spot twice! Once you're near the end, tuck in the strip beneath the previous fold and cut off the excess.

Step 4: Pinch!

With your thumb and index finger grab two corners of the pentagon and pinch them. Like magic, the star will inflate. Keep going around and pinching all the corners and see your star take shape! Good luck!
