Learn how to make this adorable Steamboat Minnie Tsum Tsum inspired by Disney's Tsum Tsum. Steamboat Minnie is a limited edition Tsum so she's really hard to find. I decided to make my own one based on the plush. She's quite different to my other Tsum Tsum tutorials as she is smaller than the other two Tsums and she has a different belly. Here's how to make her!

Step 1: What You Will Need

Here's what you will need!

- White, black and grey felt

- Two white socks

- One black sock (or two if your socks are ankle socks)

- Black, grey and white thread and a needle

- Push pins, a marker, glue and scissors

You will also need regular scissors to cut out the template and if you want, a pencil for lighter marking.

Step 2: Tsum Tsum Template

Here is the template for this DIY! My Tsum was quite different to the ones I normally make as this one was much smaller. Your Tsum Tsum size might be different than mine so feel free to change to template size to fit your plush. You will need to make

- One face

- Two ears

- One hat

- Four feet

- One tail

- Two eyes

- One nose

- One flower

- One tummy

- One skirt

I will teach you how to make all of these step by step! Let's start!

Step 3: Let's Make Her Body!

1. Get your black sock and stuff it with polyester fibre until you are happy with the size.

2. Cut off the excess sock.

3. Thread your needle with black thread.

4. Using a running stitch, sew along the edge of the sock.

5. Once finished, pull the thread gently so it gathers the fabric and push the end of the sock (where you cut) in so you have a nice, clean finish.

6. Seal it off with a knot at the end to secure it.

7. Minnie's body is finished! It should look something like this.

Step 4: Time to Give Her Some Clothes!

1. Get one of your white socks and pull it over the black sock. Mark the sock so it's about halfway over your black sock.

2. Cut your sock and pull it over the body to the part so where you sewed the black sock is covered.

3. Tuck in the edges of your white sock so you have a clean finish and pin it down.

4. Sew along the edge of the white sock and also sew along the edge of the black sock so you are connecting them together.

5. When you have sewn all around the sock, secure it with a knot.

6. Your plush should now look something like this.

Step 5: Let's Add Her Face

1. Cut one of your white socks open so you only have one piece of material. Trace the template onto the sock.

2. Cut out your sock leaving a 5 mm gap around it. Cut a few lines around the curves of your sock making sure not to cut over the line.

3. Pin it to your body tucking in all the edges of your sock.

4. Using the same method of sewing as the white sock, sew around the face.

5. Once you have sewn all around the face, secure it with a knot.

6. Your face should look something like this.

Step 6: Giver Her Some Ears

1. Turn your black sock inside out and trace around the template (you should be sewing on two pieces of fabric).

2. Using a back stitch, sew around the template but leave the bottom of the ear open.

3. Once finished, secure it with a knot and cut out your ear.

4. Turn you ear inside out so the right side of the fabric is facing out.

5. Stuff your ear slightly so it's just a little bit soft.

6. Repeat these steps so you have two ears.

7. Pin your ears onto Minnie's head where you want them to be.

8. Using a ladder stitch, sew your ears on.

9. Your ears should look something like this.

Step 7: Add Her Tail

1. Turn your black sock inside out and trace over the tail template.

2. Using a back stitch, sew along the template and remember to not sew the top of the tail.

3. Once finished, secure with a knot.

4. Cut out the tail.

5. Flip it inside out, you might want to use a pencil to help with this.

6. stuff your tail slightly, pushing the stuffing down with something like scissors or a pencil.

7. Pin your tail on Minnie and sew it on with a ladder stitch.

8. Your tail should look something like this.

This step is basically the same method as making the ears.

Step 8: She Needs a Skirt!

1. Get your grey felt and cut out the skirt template.

2. Using your marker, trace the template onto grey felt.

3. Cut out your skirt.

4. Pin on the skirt around the body so you can't see any white.

5. The skirt shouldn't be able to go around her entire body so you just pin it at the ends on her belly.

6. Using a fell stitch, sew around the skirt so you're attaching it to her body and white sock.

7. Once you have sewn all around the skirt, secure the thread with a knot.

8. This is what it should look like.

Step 9: Giver Her a Hat - Part 1

1. Using grey felt trace around the template and make two.

2. Cut them out.

3. Place them on top of each other.

4. Using a ladder stitch, sew around them but don't sew the bottom of the hat.

5. Once you have reached the end, secure it with a knot and flip it inside out so you can't really see the thread.

6. Your hat should look like this at the moment.

Step 10: Giver Her a Hat - Part 2

1. Pull the end of the hat up so it looks like this.

2. Mark the hat with a marker so you know where it reaches.

3. Cut out a thin piece of black felt so it can go around the hat.

4. Glue it around the hat.

5. It should look like this (you might want to let it dry for a while).

6. Pull the bottom of the hat back up.

7. Sew the side to the hat so it stays in place.

8. Your hat should look like this.

Step 11: Giver Her a Hat - Part 3

1. Pin the hat in between Minnie's ears.

2. Sew it on using a ladder stitch.

3. Secure it with a knot and it should look something like this.

4. To make her flower, use the template to cut out a small white flower.

5. Using a black marker, put a black dot on the center.

6. Stick it to her hat and this is what her hat should look like.

Step 12: Minnie Can't See Anything!

1. Using back felt, cut out Minnie's eyes and nose.

2. Pin them onto her face where you would like them to go.

3. Before you flue them on, thread your needle with black thread. You will sew on her eyelashes by first sticking your needle through her belly and out to the top of her eye, and then thread it back in a little bit higher and repeat to the left two more times.

4. Do this on the other eye as well.

5. I like to end my sewing by threading the needle down to the belly and tying a knot there so when I add my tummy, you can't see it.

6. Minnie's face should look something like this.

Step 13: Final Touches

1. Using black felt, cut out four feet and using white felt, cut out her tummy.

2. Pin on her feet making sure than you wont be able to see the end of them when you place the tummy on.

3. Sew on her feet only at the end using a fell stitch.

4. Pin on Minnie's tummy so you can't see the thread for the feet.

5. Using a fell stitch, sew all around her tummy.

6. When you are done, secure the thread with a knot.

7. Your final touches are complete and should look something like this.

Step 14: Yay! She's Done!
