This project is an easy and fun room decor project inspired by Tumblr. It is amazing for any room/ office/ anywhere. Here are two great ways to make a galaxy jar.

Step 1: Galaxy Jar 1-Materials

1. Bowl and 4 cups filled with water

2. Diaper

3. Acrylic paint (dark blue, purple, pink, light blue)

4. Mason jar

5. Glitter (optional)

Step 2: Galaxy Jar 1

Take your bowl with water and soak the diaper in the water. (sounds weird but is mandatory), wait til' diaper is fully soaked. Open the bottom of the diaper to get the ultra absorbent crystals. Put the diaper to the side and keep soaking crystals until very puffy. Now squirt one color of acrlyic paint into one cup with water, until light/ dark blue, pink and purple are completed. Mix all the colors seperatly with a paint brush, spoon or whatever until you get a solid color. Take the jar and put about 2 inches of diaper crystals on the bottom of the jar. Add your first color, pour any color water in the jar. The crystals should absorb the paint water. Every few layers of crystals, switch the paint water color. Add glitter on the side/ edge of the jar. Keep adding the crystals, paint water, and glitter as directed above until you reach the top of the jar.

FInally you have your GALAXY JAR, I hope you like it. You can add ribon with a chalk-tag and write on it.

Step 3: Galaxy Jar 2- Materials

1.Mason Jar

2.Glitter

3. Cotton balls/ puffs

4. 4 cups with water

5. Acrylic paint (dark blue, purple, pink, light blue)

Step 4: Galaxy Jar 2

This is almost the same method as last jar but instead of the crystals you use cottonballs. I perfer last method because this method takes forever. Squirt one color of acrlyic paint into one cup with water, until light/ dark blue, pink and purple are completed. Mix all the colors seperatly with a paint brush, spoon or whatever until you get a solid color. Take the jar and put about 2 inches of cotton puffs on the bottom of the jar. Add your first color, pour any color water in the jar. The cotton balls should absorb the paint, but the cotton will be squishy and moist. Every about 3 layer of cotton switch the paint water color. Add glitter on the side/ edge of the jar. Keep adding the cotton puffs, paint water, and glitter as directed above until you reach the top of the jar. You will need to make many layers of every color. As you can probaly tell this method took FOREVER!!!
