DIY Whimsical Candy Serving Tray

Introduction: DIY Whimsical Candy Serving Tray

Hey all! In this video you will learn how to make a whimsical candy serving tray. My husband gave me this recycled wood gift box to do something with. I knew I wanted to paint it and use as a serving tray..but what theme? Craftersdelight was my inspiration for this tray. Link to her Candy Explosion Clock is below.

I used approx 24oz of resin for this project. You may need more or less depending on your tray size and what types of candies you used (obviously, you would need less resin if you used thinner candies like M&Ms vs these giant lollipops etc). You want to work in thin layers of resin so you can help avoid air bubbles. If you use the lighter method for air bubbles and get scorch marks on sides of tray, use isopropyl alcohol and q-tips for clean up.

I hope you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching, like, subscribe, etc. Have fun, be creative, and craft happily ever after!!
