Introduction: DIY Wine Bottle Vases

About: I’m a mama of three and breast milk donor just trying to survive the chaos with coffee, fitness and wine!

Wine bottle vases are a cheap and easy craft idea. It makes a simple home decor piece or adds a special touch to weddings or events.

First, you will need to remove the label. I did this by filling the sink with super hot water with 1/3 cup baking soda and 2 cups white vinegar. I made sure the bottle sank underneath the water. I let it soak for 1 hour. Most of the label should peel right off, but you can scrape the remaining off with a sponge or scraper.

Next, use glass paint to paint the bottle once dried. I bought the Martha Stewart brand glass paint from Michael's. You may need to do a few coats to make it completely opaque. Once dried, you can hot glue other decor if you'd like- rhinestones, glass, beads, shells, etc. Add flowers or leave as is for a nice decor piece in your home. This is also a great gift idea!
