Introduction: DIY Wood Clapper-board

About: I'm a Mechatronics Engineering student who loves making DIY stuff

In this instructable you will learn how to make a super cheap and easy Clapper-board for using in videomaking or just for decoration.

Step 1: Sketch and Measurements

I made my sketch following the measurements that my pine wood had so it looks accurate.

Step 2: Wood Cutting

I use 2 cm pine wood, so I could do the clapper without too much cuts.

Made all cuts with the help of clamps square rule and a handsaw. After a good sanding I made a little cut in the big part so it could move easily.

Step 3: PVC Sheet

Using a PVC sheet I draw the piece that I was going to use, you can draw the piece the way you want and the measurements you want too, then with the help of a rotary tool I cut them. You need two equal pieces.

Step 4: Pre-assemble

Once I had the pieces cut, with two nuts and two bolts I assembled all and I saw if it worked.

It worked perfectly.

Step 5: Paint

First of all I painted all pieces with white paint and made the draw I was going to follow. It is pretty easy and you can see it in the picture. Then took the tape away using a exacto knife in the ones I wanted to be black. After a good black paint spray this was the final result.

You can put a plastic sheet or a simple paper to write everything you want.
