Intro: DSman195276's Sniper Rifle

well, i finally got around to making and finishing my sniper rifle. it's based off of the M24 SWS (Sniper Weapon System). it has a rail system much like the KILLERK magnum, hinge butt plate, detachable bipod, removable scope, comfortable handle, good feeling trigger pull, head rest (for looking through the scope) , emergency iron sights, and removable suppressor (just a barrel add on, mainly to improve accuracy).

i can not take all the credit for this gun, i have to give KILLERK credit for the trigger mecanism. i modified it to work better. you will have to break a green connector to make the trigger mecanism.(don't worry, it's just one connector, and it can be used in the magnum to)

the original idea for using bendy grey rods to create the scope was mepains. i gave it some mollifications to make it more realistic though.

unlike most other snipers, this one goes easy on the pieces for people new to knex that don't have thousands of pieces. you will need a good amount of yellow connectors though. the gun is mostly yellow connectors. it also uses a good amount of the black hand connectors (50) so sorry about that. 16 of them are in the scope so you could make that differently to conserve those pieces.

in the pictures i have almost every combination of pieces that can be made from this instructable. i just thought that might help if you have limited pieces and are deciding what add ons to make for it.

well, i hope you like my sniper rifle. please comment and rate! all spam will be deleted, no matter what it is (unless it's my spam :-P).

STEP 2: Butt and Handle.

just make, should not be that hard. please tell me if you do not understand.

STEP 3: Beginning Barrel and Trigger Mec

just make, and like the other step let me know if they are two hard to follow.

STEP 4: Middle of Barrel

easy to make.

STEP 5: End of Barrel

easier. uses some black hands though. sorry for it being a big chunk, but it should be easy to make.

STEP 6: Extras: Barrel Extention

just make, it is completely not needed.

STEP 7: Extras: Bipod

just a cool bipod. it works well(best bipod i have made) though it does not fold up like the other ones.

the black clips make it cooler but are not needed.

STEP 8: Extras: Scope

kinda like mepains.

it is moded to look like the one in the picture of the M24 SWS. this is not needed and is mainly aesthetic.

STEP 9: Extras: Chain

it is a cool chain. i did not come up with this, loose wire did did in a form and i kinda took the idea. so if you see him say thanks.

STEP 10: Have Fun!

i hope you like it! don't put to many rubberbands on the ram. i get excellent power with one #64 rubberband.

STEP 11: Ammo

well, the ammo is just about anything you can get to go down the front barrel.

there is grenade ammo. that is a orange connector with a yellow rod on one end and a green rod on the other. then put two blue connectors togeather and push grey connectors in to all the cracks. then just load and fire(does not work with the barrel extension)

second is the pearcing ammo. just a orange connector with a yellow rod at one end and a green rod at the other.

there are millions of ammo you could make for this gun, please post the ones you use!

what is the ammo? and how do u shoot it
This gun is really good, except for one thing. The red connector on the ram keeps breaking. :-( Do you have any ideas on how to stop this? I only have 1 #64 on it.
yeh its a very old post but it should work by hot glueing the a little bit of sanding should do the trick
It's impossible to put tape on it. And it was the connector that broke

Step 5, picture 9.
I use 20 gauge steel wire. Works for every gun I have come across ;)
well, mine never breaks with just one 64. i do find that with more it does break, but one 64 is usually fine.
i use ammo with a yellow rod and a orange conector
look cool
nice trigger system
cool range its perfect 5*
what exactly are you referring to that I could do better on? The scope?
As I said in this step, this scope is not made for functionality, but made to look like the one from the M24 SWS. And it looks close enough to it for me.
step 4, pic 3. is that a broken green connector there? i dont know if it needs to br broken :S
i wont make it just in case. please tell me if it needs that broken one!
thanks
Well, that green connector is part of the trigger mech, and for this mech to work right, it has to be broken.

But, you could probably just change the mech a little so it doesn't need the green connecter. I would love to see it if you do.

thanks
i am going to try to build it in a bit  and see if it works
if i does i will post a photo on here :)

i don't think t-man made the scope or bipod, which have a combined total of 34 Y connectors.
