Decorative Cork Candles

In this instructable, I will show you how to make super simple candles that are a great addition to any outdoor table. The hardest part is finding the corks.

Supplies

What you'll need:

• Cat food can or tuna fish can
• 15 corks (depending on the size of the can)
• handful of small rocks or gravel
• 1 tea light candle
• hot glue gun

Step 1: The Can

For this you could use either a tuna fish can or a cat food can, both would work. For this step, the key is to take off as much of the label as you can, so the hot glue will stick to the can better. The key to this is to either use your nail or soak it in warm water for two minutes.

Step 2: Hot Glueing the Corks

For this step, you need to hot glue the corks to the outside of the can. Make sure that the hot glue doesn't stick to the table.

Step 3: Add Gravel

For this step, you want to fill the can with gravel. If you collect the stones or gravel from outside make sure there are no sticks or leaves mixed with the gravel.

Step 4: Add Tea Light (last Step!)

For the last step, you need to add a tea light candle, make sure that it is centered in the can.
