Cast Iron Dutch Oven or any heavy bottomed Pan

Fish Spatula or fork

misc. bowls or containers

Step 2: The Dry Ingredients

Start off by heating your flavorless oil in a heavy bottomed pan to about halfway with oil to 375 degrees F.

In a large bowl add in your flour, sugar, baking powder and salt and whisk until they are combined.

Step 3: Add Wet Ingredients

Add in your egg, ¼ C of milk and vanilla to your dry ingredients and whisk until smooth, you might need to add a bit more milk because you don’t want your batter to be too thick.

Step 4: Mix the Batter

Mix until everyone is incorporated and your batter is a smooth consistency. Let your batter rest for 5-10 minutes.

Step 5: Preheat Oil, Dip & Fry Cookies

Once your oil is at 375 degrees F, dip in 4-5 cookies in your batter and put them in the hot oil to fry. Fry about a minute on each side or until they are golden brown.

Step 6: Remove Fried Cookies From Oil

Pull them out and let them drain on a plate that has been lined with paper towels.

Step 7: Powder and Enjoy!

Dust your deep fried Chips Ahoy cookies with powdered sugar and prepare to have a fun time with this amazing fair food!
