Introduction: Deer Bone Lamp
While setting up for a bonfire recently, I found multiple piles of bones. They were small piles but I gathered them up and brought them back home. I figured out what I wanted to do with them and took apart a lamp that was lying around. The base of the lamp is the same and I pieced together the bones (which created a tunnel through them) and put the lamp pole and electric through them and it fit perfectly. After making this, I had extra bones that I thought would add as nice complimentary pieces. I simply found some thin candles around the house which also fit very nicely in the bones. I am assuming all the bones I used were vertebrae and tail bones. I had fun with this simple project and hope it inspires you do be creative too!

It's nicer when hunters actually use the whole animal they kill... I hate sport hunters who hunt just for the "fun" of it....
Too bad you (by the looks of it) only found the spine and not the skull...
That would be neat!

I need to start hunting, venison cooked on an open fire and more projects like this would be awesome. I really wish i found the skull, it would make for a great decoration

I wish I could get with someone locally who (bow) hunts, I enjoy making venison jerky, its tasty and not hard to make at all. As for bone work, I haven't done much. (mainly cause the smell)

Nice build, with a touch of the macabre.

If this is "eww," you should see the trophy rooms some hunters have in their houses. Most are full of nicely taxidermied creatures, but some are just bones.
