Introduction: Dessert Breakfast Tacos
Dessert breakfast tacos are a great brunch treat on any special day or just in general. It includes crepes, banana and cinnamon. All covered in caramel and whipped cream. Perfect for a morning person with a sweet tooth..
Cruz's family has had this recipe for a long time and it's one of their most delicious ones. We thought people would enjoy a different kind of breakfast taco. One that is a lot sweeter and tastier.
Step 1: Ingredients
The ingredients you'll need are milk, banana, eggs, sweet-n-low, flour, canola oil, almond extract, cinnamon, whipped cream, caramel, a bowl, a skillet, a measuring cup, and a plate
Step 2: Add and Mix
Add 3 eggs, 1 1/2 cups of milk, 1 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of oil, 1 teaspoon of almond extract, and 1 packet of sweet-n-lo to a bowl and mix it until it is smooth. This is the batter for the crepe, which will serve as the "shell" for the taco.
Step 3: Cook
Set a skillet on the stove and turn the heat on medium. Pour the batter of the mixed ingredients in a thin layer on the skillet and let it cook
Step 4: Flip
Let the first side of the crepe cook until it is a light golden color then flip it and let the other side cook until it looks the same. Now you're done with the "shell" of the taco
Step 5: Inside the Taco
Now that the crape is ready, you just add the ingredients to the inside. Start by taking 1/2 to 1 full banana and cutting/mushing it up. This step depends on you and how you would like it prepared. It can be mostly chunky or more mushy, whichever you like. Add the banana onto the open crape. Then sprinkle some cinnamon on top. This also depends on you and how much you would like to add. However too much and create a really strong taste.
Step 6: Decoration
Now since your taco is stuffed, pull the two sides over and roll it. Now add a dollop (or more if you want) of whipped cream and drizzle some caramel over it all.
*The last two ingredients are completely optional and do not have to be added if you do not want them*
