Introduction: DiceOX

Hello readers,

Do you like games?

Do you like Tic Tac Toe?

Do you like Dice?

If you answered yes to any of the previous questions, then you are in the right place.

I created this game after going through the instructables box challenge and noticing that nobody had done this before. I also checked online to see if someone had combined tic tac toe with dice and the closest thing I found to my creation can be found in this link (https://www.crazydiymom.com/tictactoe.html).

Someone may have made this before, but I have not seen it. If any reader finds it and believes that I’m stealing someone else’s idea, please let me know and I’ll give credit. Having said that, please contact me before you make this game with the intention to gain profit out of it.

Supplies

  1. Tinkercad (a computer with internet to access tinkercad.com)
  2. Cubes (at least 3)
  3. Marker

Step 1: Now to the Fun Part. Making This Game and Playing It.

Once you get all that, you can follow this guide as described and you will end up with the same game as mine, or you can adjust it to make it your own. Good luck and have fun.

  1. First step, using Tinkercad, create a cube or find the dice shape. Then create/find the “X” and “O” shapes (you will need three of each shape). Place each shape in one of the sides of the cube/dice, and you will end up with the design for DiceOX.
  2. Second step, to make your design come to life and play around you will need a cube (cut out small blocks of wood, or buy cubes without anything on them). Using the marker label each cube side with an “X” or “O” but make sure that the cube has three sides with “X” and three sides with “O” (labeling the sides with three “X” and three “O” gives the players the same chance).
  3. Create 3 cubes following the instructions in the second step.

Two ways to play; Easy - Difficult

  • Easy: Without deciding who is “X” or who is “O”, the first player who rolls the same symbol in all 3 dice wins.
  • Difficult: With another player, decide who is “X” and who is “O.” Each player’s goal is to roll all three dice and get their symbol in all dice facing up. Whomever does this first wins.
