Diy Arcade Cabinet

Intro: Diy Arcade Cabinet

This is my own unique cabinet design, built for the purpose of holding its components securely. Designs will vary depending on the type of cabinet and the game system used. The screen is able to change to black and white for a more retro experience. Its simplicity is outstanding; I was able to build it with literally no experience whatsoever.

STEP 1: The Cabinet

The cabinet itself is simply a crude table with something to hold the plug and play setup. It was so simple that I even thought about using old Goodwil furniture. I then put a cardboard shell on it and spray painted it blue. The marquee was done with cardboard and hot glue. I also added a plastic sheet in front of the Tv screen. The trim is duct tape.

STEP 2: The Electronics

I used an old tv, a coaxial cable, and an rf modulator that I got from goodwill, along with the silverlit electronics super twins plug and play set I had lying around for the games. The old tv makes it feel authentic, at least more so than it did before.

STEP 3: Wiring

This is how it looks all hooked up. Place it wisely though, because it takes up a whole outlet.

Games I was using corrupted somehow...
Am looking for a replacement lol
I am planning on building another one, it is just going to be a while before I can buy the parts for the cabinet; I already have the electronics. That is one thing I will mention: you need to know the electronics you are using in order to build the cabinet around them.
It’s awesome. i love the old design👍
