Introduction: Diy Donut Dog Toy
In this Instructable, I'm going to show you a very easy no-sew donut dog toy. I have a dog who chews on EVERYTHING. I wanted to get him a new toy so he would stop chewing on my stuff. I used some fabric I had on hand to make this toy and I wanted to share it on this website.
Supplies
The supplies you need to make this dog toy are very simple, all you need is a sock with the toe cut off and a strip of fabric about 30 inches long and about 2-3 inches wide. There are images in this Instructable.
Step 1: Prepping the Sock
To get the sock ready for the fabric to go around it you need this step. It is very easy and all you need to do is take your sock and roll it up into a donut shape. Here is how to do this step. Take the top and fold it down slightly, then fold the rest of the sock down over that, then repeat that until the sock is all the way rolled up. There are pictures, sorry for the poor image quality
Step 2: Wrapping the Sock
This step is also very easy. It is now time to use the piece of fabric that you have. You need to loop about 5 inches of the strip through the hole in the donut to start. Then take the long end and come around the donut thick part and then come back through the hole. Do this repeatedly until you come all the way back around to the starting point.
Step 3: Tying the Knot/ Finishing the Toy
With the two flaps, you have leftover from wrapping the sock tie a simple knot with them and then cut off the excess. My fabric was just the right size so I didn't need to cut anything off.
Step 4: Play With Your Dog!
So, my dog was being lazy and wouldn't play when I made this, but he does love this toy and I think your dog will too! I hope you had fun making this toy and won't hate me too much for a bad Instructable.
