Step 1: Why You Need One

or daily life
outdoor recreation trip
and it is a free way to charge any of your usb device
Step 2: What You Need to Make One
solar panel
diode
usb socket
container (optional)
Step 3: Lets Get Em Together
glue the solar panel
and press it firmly
here i used hot glue gun , you can use any other glue also

this is so simple
Step 6: JUST FOLLOW THE PHOTOS ONE AFTER ANOTHER
no SOLDERING required
just twist the wires together
and make your connections insulated

you can charge any usb device that uses 5v

Can i use 12 v solar panel?

Yes you can, however you would need to use a 5v voltage regulator, (7805), to prevent over voltage and possible damage to the phone and/or battery explosion. To be honest the diode being used will work fine to prevent damage to the circuit, but when you step up to a 12 volt circuit, you must use the regulator.

where did you get the female esb socket with the wires, did you just strip one out of another machine?
