Tips before you start application:
Bridal mehndi designs are very attractive and look fabulous but they also are a tedious task and therefore here are some tips you can follow before you start the application:
- Bridal mehndi takes at least 4-5 hours as the designs are intricate and detailed. Make sure you wear loose clothes you are comfortable in and something that is not new as there are chances of it getting stained.
- Keep a hand towel and a few tissues handy as sometimes the mehndi may get smudged you may need these to wipe out the area and redo it.
- Make sure you have the lime juice and sugar syrup mix ready for application post the mehndi dries up.
- Also, make sure you have waxed your hands and feet a few days before as if you do it on unwaxed skin- the hair shall get pulled while removal and also waxing post mehndi shall remove the color. Applying mehndi immediately after waxing is not recommended as the skin pores are open and chemical oils can get in.
- Take a comfortable position before starting as you shall have to sit in that position for hours.
- A bit of irritation on skin is normal post drying of the mehndi but if there is too much of it, remove the mehendi as you may be allergic to some component.
