Dog Treat Puller

Intro: Dog Treat Puller

This is a half treat half toy for your loving dog you can make it easily with only a few steps.
You will need:
1 cup boiling water (not shown in picture)
1 cup of oats
1/3 cup margarine or butter
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp stock (crumbled)
1/2 cup of milk
1 egg beaten
3 cups of flour

STEP 1: Mix

Mix the boiling water with the oats and butter. And leave for 10 minutes.

STEP 2: Stir

Mix in the cornflour sugar stock milk and egg.

STEP 3: Mix In

Mix in the flour it might be hard at first but you can do it!!

STEP 4: Mix With Hands

Start mixing the mixture with your hands.

STEP 5: Knead

Knead the mixture till it forms into dough.

STEP 6: Ribbon

You will need some ribbon tie a big knot at the end.

STEP 7: Form

Form 2 halves of the dough into ovals and then stick the ribbon in and make a loop at the top and tie a knot.

STEP 8: Cook!

Cook the dough at 160 C for 40 min then take out and cool NEVER give your dog hot food he can burn himself....you will see how happily your dog will play with the dough. :)

For those of you thinking of doing this, it is misguided and reckless to mix in a ribbon or string in you dog's food or treats. As a Vet, I am constantly removing items like this from the digestive tract of animals that have caused a blockage. Please do not do this!

I don't know about that ribbon. Is it OK for the Dogs if he eat it?

Sounds cool! I would just omit the sugar, though. And, maybe instead of the string I would use a tug toy? Just wouldn't want my dog to eat the string!!!
