Introduction: Dracula's Dancing Potion!

Happy Halloween! I just found instructables this week and I'm so excited to be a part of this creative community!
This drink is perfect for a Halloween get together plus I had a blast putting it together! I combined two different elements that are sure to impress your guests. This drink glows with the help of a blacklight so I added the element of the "bloody" syringe to insure your guests have a spooky drink all night no matter what lighting. This cocktail is so easy to make but produces beautiful results! You can also replace vodka for sprite for a non-alcholic beverage.

Supplies

2 oz Vodka
4-6 oz Tonic Water (These ingredients are for a tall glass)
¼ cup Sugar
2 cups Fresh Raspberries
Syringes
Blacklight
One squirt of kool-aid flavoring
If your in the mood to go the extra mile you can create a fun garnish for your drink with an orange slice, halved strawberry or a grape and draw on it with frosting.

Step 1: Make the Raspberry Sauce

Puree the raspberries in a blender or food processor. Squeeze your puree through a strainer to separate the seeds. Discard the seeds.

Step 2: Cook Raspberry Sauce

Combine the puree with sugar in a saucepan over medium high heat.
Stir frequently until mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
I also added one squirt of kool-aid mix just to get the deepest blood color I could. (This is not necessary but I felt it added some flavor and color.)
Chill until ready to use.

Step 3: Make Your Glowing Cocktail

Add ice to glass (I used one solid ice sphere but it doesn't matter which ice you chose)
Pour one part vodka and two parts tonic water into your glass
Leave a little room for your syringe to fit in perfectly

Step 4: Put Your Cocktail Together

Fill syringes with raspberry syrup and place in glasses before serving.
Now is the time you can garnish your glass if you like. I used a grape and decorated it as an eye with frosting. You can also use a strawberry as a ghost or an orange for a pumpkin

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy!

Upon serving place a blacklight directly over or behind your drinks.(I placed flashlights behind each drink and I love the effect)
Now the fun part!
Lastly let your guests squeeze their syringes into the drink and watch as it creates a magical two-tone effect!
