Introduction: Dripz

For the assignment "Artbot" for interaction design we created 'Dripz'.
The creation had to use motors and it had to have a functionality other than just driving.
We also had to use a lasercutter.

We decided to create a painting robot inspired by Jackson Pollocks' work.
Dripz has two components. One being the "dripper", the other one being the "catcher".

The Dripper component is made to move over one axis and drip paint on an interval. It is made of an arduino and a motor shield, two engines, a funnel and three boxes. The Dripper drives over a beam.

The Catcher component is a disc on wheels, turning to randomize where the paint drips. It is made of three engines and wheels, each with a box to protect the engine and attach it to the disc. It is powered by a battery and driven by an arduino and a motor shield.

In our project we used:

2 Arduinos
2 Motor shields
Wooden plates
5 Motors
5 Wheels
A tunnel
Servo
Paint
Paper
Ductape >> to solve all your problems along the way!
