Intro: Drum Desk

In my first instructable I've complained how to make this studio desktop. Now I've got a little feature. Hope you will enjoy it.

STEP 1: Get Your Stuff

You will need:
1 piezo element
1 mono jack socket (female)
Some wire

Tools:
Solder iron
Solder wire
Hot glue gun

STEP 2: Assembling the Piezo Element

STEP 3: Mount the Piezo Element to the Jack Socket

STEP 4: Test You Piezo Element

Open a recording program(in my case GarageBand). And test on which spot the piezo element sounds good.

STEP 5: Mounting to Your Desk

Step:
1- Mark the spot.
2- heat up your hot glue gun.
3- glue your piezo element to the desktop.
4- test one more time.

STEP 6: Recording

To recording your desk drum you need a amplifier which can amplifi a microphone signal. Or you can use a PA mixer with build in amplifier. For a better sound; turn your "low" up and the "high" down and the "mid" on 0. I had to turn my gain al the way up, but I'm not sure if that has to be by every mixer/amplifier.
