Introduction: Duck Tape Sheet Maker
there are many cool things one can do with duck tape. i recently wanted to make a duck tape tuxedo for prom. i thought about it a lot and finally came to the conclusion that it will take a lot of work.
To make a tuxedo, and many other things, out of duck tape you need what i call a sheet. a sheet of duck tape is basically two pieces of duck tape with the sticky sides touching.
this is how you mass produce a sheet of duck tape
Step 1: This Is What You Need!
a surface that you dont care about (ex: TV tray, desk, dinner table)
two cilindrical items (I recomend dowels, but in the instructable i used the bottoms of hangers)
wood or cardboard
ruler
hot glue
pen
(not shown) things to cut stuff such as a knife or scalpel
Step 2: Make Walls?
First you got to make what i call walls.
i just glued two pieces of cardboard together. after getting the walls you need to cut little notches in them. i made a note of the length, but make sure you add about an inch for error and such.
Step 3: Make Rods?
you need to get your rods together
just cut the dowels to a desired length or cut the bottom off of hangers (shown)
Step 4: Put Walls on Surface
self explanitory,
duck tape the walls onto your surface. make sure they are parellel and are close enough to keep the rods on
Step 5: Make the Sheet
put a strip of duck tape in between the rods
flip the rods over.
put duck tape on the last strip.
continue untill desired length is obtained
Step 6: Cut It Off
cut it off
make something from it
remember, this was a small prototype. the real one will be much bigger.
THE END
This was my first instructable!

when you get to a certain point, the time taken to make this outweighs the time it would take to do it by hand.
