Duct Box Shock Proof IPhone Case

The Duct Box is a shock proof cover made out of masking tape, duct tape and paper and is about 70% effective as an Otter Box. It is cheap simple and easy to make!

Step 1: What You Will Need

All you will need for this project is duct tape, masking tape, scissors, paper, and of course an idevice 

Step 2: The First Layer

The first thing you need to do is cover the front (not including screen or home button) and the back with a thin layer of masking tape

Step 3: Add Padding to Piece

Now we will start to make it shock prof! All you need to do is lightly roll up a square of paper and use masking tape to tape it to the back. Now roll up a smaller peice and tape it onto it.

Step 4: Next Layer of Tape

now cover the entire back up moderately with masking tape 

Step 5: The Front Top Padding

Now you need to roll up another piece of paper and stick it on the front top and tape it on.

Step 6: Front Bottom Padding

Now you need to pad to the left and right of the home button and cover it with masking tape.
Don't cover the home button.

Step 7: Side Padding

Now we will make the side padding. Roll up more paper and pad the sides on the left side pad up to the volume buttons and don't cover them. Cover the side padding up with masking tape.

Step 8: The Final Layer

Now you want to cover all the masking tape with duct tape. Do not cover charging hole or ear bud holes. Also put one piece of duct the on the home button.

Step 9: Done!

Now you have a cheap, shock proof, cool looking iPhone/iTouch case 

Notes: On the iPhone don't cover the camera
