Intro: Duct Tape Lanyard

The Duct Tape Lanyard. For all those who dont want to spend money of a real one. This is also for people like me who always lose their keys or forget them in their room.

STEP 1: Materials.

1. Duct Tape

... simple enough

2. keys... preferably on a key ring

also pretty easy

STEP 2: Creating the Lanyard

1. Fold the duct tape in half hot dog style. make sure it is long enough to be a necklace. if its not quiet long enough... itll stretch later... but better to be safe then sorry.

2. Leave the end open and put the already folded end in .

3. finish the fold.

STEP 3: The Key Portion.

In order to keep the keys from sliding around, take about 6 inches of a half strip and wrap it around tips that make the first strand a necklace

(It can be anywhere in the necklace, but I find it more aesthetically pleasing to put it over the overlay).

Make sure to leave some room to slide the key ring into.

STEP 4: Slide the Keys On.

slide the key ring into the small hole you left and wear your homemade lanyard proudly. Seriously. People will give you compliments on the ingenuity.

About how long do you think we should make it? Like a "Normal" length that you make yours?
as long as you want. you should be able to measure it by rapping it around your neck.
O love it! Here's my Maglite belt holder from an electrical tie and gaffers tape:
