Step 1: Step 1: Wash Your Hair
You want to wash your hair so that it is easier for your hair to stay in the braid. Make sure you use shampoo and conditioner :)
Step 2: Step 2: Brush Hair
Most people know to brush their hair from the top of the head to the bottom. The real way in which you wanna brush your hair is from the bottom of your hair to the top. You start by splitting your hair so their is enough on both shoulders. Brush the bottom of one of your group of hair then you move to the other group and brush the bottom of that group of hair. The point of this is so that you don’t lose all of your hair and taking all of the knots out at the end. Then you wanna pull all of your hair to one side and continue to brush the rest of your hair from the top down.
Step 3: Step 3: Split Hair Down the Middle
The next step is to split your hair down the middle. You want to do this for boxer braids (this hairstyle) to make sure that you do this for a perfect straight line down the middle of your head. This is done by taking your comb preferably one that has a pointy tip. Take this comb and start at the tip of your nose and continue the comb straight back to the back of your head. Then carefully take the brush and fully brush the air evenly to each side of the line. This is done so that it doesn’t look like you have a wobbly line.
Step 4: Step 4: Tie Hair
You want grab one half of your hair and tie the hair with a hair tie. This is done so that you can braid one half of your hair without grabbing any extra hair.
Step 5: Step 5: Begin to Braid
You want to start at the top of your head near your forehead and start with picking up a little piece of hair. Split the hair into three pieces and begin to braid one time the braid be braided under instead of over. Then you want to pick up a piece of hair to add to one side of your braid and continue to do this till there is no more hair available to pick up. For the boys that play basketball it’s just like the 3 man weave.
