You can get pre-made tahini or sesame butter. It lasts forever, and is a great condiment for salads and vegetables. I like it on noodles. Anyway, I have always been lazy and made hummus like this, in a blender: 2 cloves garlic peeled, juice of 1 lemon, around 1/2 cup of olive oil. Blend to chop. Then add a regular size can of chick peas, and three or four tablespoons of tahini. Blend until it's creamy. Add water as needed to smooth it out, and olive oil to make it richer.
