Ear Bud Wrap

Intro: Ear Bud Wrap

You will need:

  • Earbuds
  • 4 or more lengths of embroidery floss/thread in different colors
  • 1 safety pin
  • Something to pin on (e.g. a pillow)
  • Nail varnish/polish Or glue if you don't have it.

STEP 1: Pin Your Ear Buds

Just as the title suggests, pin the ear buds to your pillow. (Or your thing to pin on)

STEP 2: Cut Your Floss

Cut out twice the length of your ear buds for each length of floss. If you're using 4-6 colors, I recommend doing three times the length. On my first go, I ran out of colors. Don't make that mistake!

STEP 3: Getting Ready to Weave (or Knot)

Bunch up your floss if it's long. Then, you need to tie the floss onto the place you want to start on. Just do a normal knot. No need for fancy ones. I used a bit of Blu Tac to secure it.

STEP 4: Weave

Separate a bunch of floss.

Then, pull it over the other lengths of floss and the ear bud in a '4' shape. (Look at the pictures!)

Tuck it under the floss and the ear bud string, then tighten. Do this until you have enough, then use the next color.

It should start to look like a friendship bracelet.

STEP 5: In Case You're Not Sure...

STEP 6: Ending

When you're satisfied with the length, cut the excess floss off and seal with nail varnish/polish/whatever. Do this to the top and the bottom.

STEP 7: Finished Product!

It should look a bit like (drum roll please...) THIS!!! (Bugles playing)
