I made this jewelry hanging device with the simple stuff I found on my desk. It holds necklaces and rings on pushpins and I'm guessing it could work for earrings too. This is the way I made it, but feel to use what ever you happen to have around to make it your own. Can't wait to see what you make!

Step 1: Gather Materials and Tools

Before starting, grab all your materials and tools.

Materials:

- Eraser, piece of cork board, modeling clay or something (This will be the base, all you need is something that you can stick pushpins into)

- Pushpins (Round or fatheaded, doesn't matter just long enough to hold jewelry)

- Jewelry (Can't make a jewelry hanger with nothing to hang!)

Tools:

- Tape (for attaching eraser)

- Scissors (for cutting tape or trimming length of eraser/cork board)

Step 2: Find a Good Spot

You will need to locate an ideal spot for your jewelry hanger. Pick some place:

-You can reach

-High enough that necklaces can hang

-You can attach it to with tape

-Possibly near other jewelry things in your room

I picked a spot in a cubby in my desk so I could attach it to the cubby and the necklaces would hang low but not touch the floor.

Step 3: Tape Eraser in Place

Once you find a spot, cut two or possibly three lengths of tape and tape the eraser or what have you in place. Don't worry if your tape is covering too much of the eraser or cork board, the pushpins will go though it.

Step 4: Add Pushpins

Now stick the pushpins in along the length of cork board or eraser. Push them in some what evenly spaced or else there won't be room for the jewelry to hang. I suggest pushing them in slightly upward to that the jewelry doesn't fall off. If you mess up you can just pull out the pushpins and stick them in again.

Step 5: Hang Jewelry

Now you can hang your necklaces, rings and earrings!

One tip for hanging rings, you may want to pull out the pushpin a little more to let the ring fit or slant the pushpin up a little more so the ring doesn't fall.
