Intro: Easy, Beautiful, No Mess Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs are commonly very time consuming, and require lots of clean up and materials. My family found this easy, no-mess way a couple of years ago and it's how we've been doing them ever since. This is my first instructable, so please give me feedback about how I can make this better.

STEP 1: Gather Your Materials

To Make these eggs, you will need:

  • Hard-Boiled Eggs( See here for help with these https://www.instructables.com/id/No-Fail-Hard-Boiled-Eggs/)
  • Foil
  • Paper Towels/
  • Napkins
  • Food Coloring

Optional:

  • Newspaper (In case of dye spillage)
  • Some place to let the eggs dry (I used one that comes with egg decorating kits, but paper towels should work fine also)

STEP 2: Add Dye

Rip off about 18 inches of foil and a paper towel/napkin and place on top of each other.

Start applying food coloring in a pattern around the center of the towel in a somewhat circular shape.

STEP 3: Dye the Egg!

Place the egg in the center of the towel, and push the foil and towel up around it. Make sure to be careful not to crack the egg, and make sure all sides of the egg (and top of the egg) are covered. Let it sit for about a minute, then carefully unfold the foil and remove the egg. Check it for any undyed areas. If there are undyed areas, place those down towards the center and repeat. Once finished, place the egg onto your drying surface.

STEP 4: Thanks for Reading! Enjoy Your Eggs!

Thanks for reading this instructable. I really appreciate any feedback because this is my first one ever. Please vote for this in the egg challenge! Thank you very much.

I like this because it demonstrates that there is always MORE than one way to accomplish a task. Many... or almost ALL people get stuck in thinking "this is the way you dye eggs".... (or other task).... and never use their creativity to try something DIFFERENT! Sometimes a new way is better. Your method is very creative and not only applies different colors, but also patterns from the paper towel!!! very nice job.

Thank you! I really appreciate your comment. Please remember to vote for this entry in contests, like the Egg Challenge.

Thanks!

Great job on your first Instructable. Your eggs look great, very festive!
