Supplies

Very little is needed for one of these pumpkins, even for the main color yarn you should be able to just use scrap yarn.

Supplies:

Step 1: The Pumpkin

(In orange yarn)

Row 1: 6 single crochet in a magic ring (if you don't know how to make a magic ring then just chain 2 and place 6 single crochet stitches in the very first chain)

Row 2: *Increase* (2 single crochet in one stitch) around (12 stitches total)

Row 3: *Single crochet 1, Increase 1* around (18)

Row 4: *Single crochet 2, Increase 1* around (24 stitches total)

Row 5-9: Single crochet 5 rows

Row 10: *Single crochet 2, decrease 1* (single crochet 2 stitches together, forming a single stitch) around (18 stitches total)

Row 11: *Single crochet 1, decrease 1* around (12 stitches total)

Stuff your piece

Row 12: *Decrease* around (6 stitches total)

fasten off and cut a tail about 2-3" long. Sew the remaining loops together and pull it through the to like shown in the photos above, then cut your yarn.

Step 2: The Stem

(In brown yarn)

Row 1: chain 3

Row 2: turn, and slip stitch 2

Fasten off and cut a 2-3" tail for sewing. Sew onto the pumpkin by pulling the stem's tail through the pumpkin starting at the top (Row 1 of the pumpkin). cut your yarn and hide the ends

Note: I suggest making the pumpkins ridges before adding the stem and leaf, it makes this process a lot easier because you don't have to place the needle between the leaf and stem.

Step 3: The Leaf

(In green yarn)

Row 1: Chain 2

Row 2: turn, and slip stitch 1

Fasten off and cut a tail of about 2" long. Sew the leaf next to the stem on top by doing the same thing by pulling the yarn through the piece. Cut your yarn and hide the end.

Step 4: Assembly

Start by making sure all of your yarn ends are sewn in and hidden. Then, make 4 pieces of yarn (one at at time) come down starting at the top, and extending to the bottom on each end, tightening them makes your piece have ridges. Follow the photos above.

Congrats! You have now just completed your very own mini pumpkin! Please share a photo if you've made this little plush, I'd love to see what you made!
