Introduction: Easy Homemade Focaccia Bread

This YUMMY focaccia bread is SIMPLE to make and topped with rosemary and sea salt.

Step 1: Gather the Ingredients

1 1/3 cup warm water

2 teaspoons sugar

1 packet yeast

3 1/2 cups flour

1/4 cup olive oil and some for drizzling

Step 2: Proof the Yeast

1. Add warm water and sugar, mix

2. Sprinkle yeast on top and stir in with water

3. Let sit 5-10 minutes until foamy

Step 3: Mix the Dough

1. In separate bowl add flour and salt

2. Add olive oil and yeast mixture

3. Mix well with mixer until dough is shaggy

Step 4: Knead the Dough by Hand/first Rise

1. Turn dough onto floured surface and knead by hand for 5 minutes

2. Grease mixing bowl with olive oil and place dough in bowl

3. Cover with damp towel

4. Place in warm location for 45-60 minutes or until doubled in size

Step 5: Second Dough Rise

1. Turn dough onto floured surface and roll into large rectangle

2. Cover dough with damp towel and let rise for 20 minutes

Step 6: Prepare the Dough

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

2. Transfer dough to parchment paper lined 9x13 pan

3. Use your fingers and dimple dough all the way down to baking sheet, all over the dough

4. Drizzle olive oil all over dough

5. Sprinkle sea salt and chopped rosemary all over dough

Step 7: Bake

1. Bake for 20 minutes or until dough is golden

Step 8: Serve

1. Remove from oven

2. Drizzle a little more olive oil on bread and serve warm
