Introduction: Easy One Minute Timer

Today, I'm Gonna show you how to make a one minute timer with very basic things of electronics. It is built around the 555 timer IC.

I hope you will like it.

Step 1: Components

1. 555 Timer IC

2. 1000uF Capacitor

3. 10k Resistors x 2

4. 47k Resistor

5. Tactile Switch

6. LED

Step 2: Circuit Diagram

Presented here is the circuit diagram of the 555 timer project.

Step 3: Connections-1

First of all mount 555 timer IC on Breadboard.

Now, connect pin no. 4 and 8 of the IC.

Connect pin no. 6 and 7 of the IC.

Step 4: Connections-2

Now, connect a 1000uF Capacitor across pin no. 2 and 6 of the IC.

Then, connect an LED across pin no. 3 and 4 of the IC. Positive Terminal at pin no. 4.

Connect a 10k Resistor across pin no. 2 and 4.

Step 5: Connections-3

Connect a series of 10k Resistor and 47k Resistor across pin no. 7 and 4.

Now, place a tactile switch across pin no. 1 and 2. Use it as a trigger.
