Intro: Easy One Piece of Paper CD/DVD Case

Hello! Have you ever had a CD/DVD that is just laying around without a case and your afraid it will get scratched or damaged and then be found expendaple? In this Instructable I will be explaining how to make a simple CD/DVD case out of only one piece of 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of printer paper! This CD/DVD case will save you the time and trouble of going out and buying those expensive plastic cases!

STEP 1: Gathering the Materials

The only materials you will need are a standard CD or DVD and one sheet of 8 1/2 by 11 printer paper. Really that's all you need!!!

STEP 2: First Folds

First, place your CD/DVD at the top about halfway off the paper as seen in the picture above.

STEP 3: The Folding Continues

Next, fold both sides in toward the center and make a crease going down.

STEP 4: Only a Few More Folds

Now fold the paper and CD/DVD down the length of the CD. The images above shows this.

STEP 5: Two More Folds Then You're Done!

Then take the top left and right corners and fold them down to make triangles.

STEP 6: Fold Down and You Are Done

Finally, fold the top down to where you can tuck the tip you made in step 5 in with the CD/DVD. Once this is completed you have now finished your paper CD/DVD case!

STEP 7: Enjoy Saftey for Your CD/DVD

I hope you had an enjoyable and easy time making this paper case for your CD/DVD. Feel free to post in the comments how yours turned out.

I made one of these as well. I suggest putting your cd in the same way I did in my instructible, it will close more nicely. https://www.instructables.com/id/Nearly-free-CDDVD-case/

Hey zork the destroyer, appreciate the feedback. The only difficulty I found with having the CD on the inside was it was difficult to insert and remove the CD when you need to use it.
