Introduction: Easy Pizza Rolls
Welcome to another Cooking with KC segment!
Today we're going to make some easy pizza rolls. I remember way back when, in Home Ec, I learned how to make mini pizzas using english muffins. This is just as simple. These are also tastier and better for you than that add-on order you got with your last pizza.
So, let's get started!
Step 1: Ingredients
These pizza rolls take a whole five ingredients to make:
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls
- 4 mozzarella cheese sticks
- 48 pepperoni
- Oregano
- Crushed red pepper
Tools
- Baking sheet
- Aluminum foil
- Non-stick cooking spray
Step 2: Preparation
To begin, preheat your oven to 325°F.
Spread a sheet of aluminum foil on your baking sheet. Spray liberally with non-stick cooking spray (alternatively, the non-stick aluminum foil works wonders).
Unroll the crescent dough and separate the triangles. Spread them evenly on the foil.
Layer four pepperoni at the wide end of each triangle, as shown in picture 3.
Cut each mozzarella stick in half. Place a single half on top of each row of pepperoni. (Picture 4)
Starting from the wide end of the crescent rolls, with the pepperoni and cheese, roll towards the point. (Picture 5)
Sprinkle each roll with with oregano and crushed red pepper flakes; the more you add, the spicier it gets!
Step 3: Baking
Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 4: Serving
Plate up and serve with marinara, pizza sauce, ranch, or just plain.
Let me know in the comments if you make these. I'm curious to know what you think.
