Introduction: --Easy Potato Chips-- (Spicy!)

About: I'm 16 years old. Reside in Ohio. I enjoy doing almost anything.
It happens to all of us. That rumbly feeling in your belly. It's snack time! Now what to eat... leftovers..? no.. pretzels..? no.. austinburke's homemade tater' chips..? Of course!!

A simple, and delicious snack that has a kick!

This recipe was invented by me on a night of hunger when I wanted something a little different, it turned out good!

Feel free to comment and make suggestions. This is my first Instructable so be merciful.

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients/Supplies.

For this Instructables you will need the following
Supplies
-Cookie Sheet/Pan
-Knife
-Cutting Board
-Alumminum Foil (Optional, but highly recommended for an easy
cleanup)
-Spatula
-Nonstick cooking spray (Pam, Crisco, etc.)
-Potato scrubber
Ingredients
-1 tsp of salt (Any type, but I prefer sea salt)
-1/2-1 tsp of cayenne pepper
-1/2 tsp of granulated garlic
-2-3 potatoes
*Note You can leave out the pepper if you
are not a fan of spicy foods.

Step 2: Wash Your Taters!

Grab your trusty potato scrubber and get working!
For you dunces out there, this is how you wash a potato.

Run warm water and scrub your potato under it, don't scrub it to hard or else you will remove to skin, just enough to remove to dirt.

Now would be a good time to preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Step 3: Cut Your Taters/Prepare the Pan.

Pick up your knife.
CAREFULLY! Please don't get hurt. Im sure blood doesn't taste very good on potato chips.

Cut your potato in half and begin slicing them into slices about 1/4 of an inch thick. (Or smaller it depends on your preferences.)

Take the alumminum foil and cover the top part of you pan. Also, start spraying away at it with you favorite brand of nonstick spray. Make sure there is an equal coat all across the foil.

The purpose of the foil is for an easy cleanup, when your done all you have to do is pull off the foil, a very easy cleanup for a teenager like myself.

Step 4: It's Seasoning Time!

Feel free to adjust the ingredients in this part. Mix it up a little try some new spices! If you stumble upon something cool let me know and I'll include it in the Instructable.

Sprinkle all of these ingredients equally on the potatoes.
-1 tsp of salt (Any type, but I prefer sea salt)
-1/2-1 tsp of cayenne pepper
-1/2 tsp of granulated garlic

Step 5: Pop Em' in the Oven.

Grab you favorite oven mitt (I prefer my plaid one with a pumpkin on it) and pop 'em in. These babies should cook for about 19-20 minutes. Times vary for each oven so it may be slightly off.

Step 6: Enjoy!

Put on your oven mitt and slide the pan out of the oven. Use your spatula to scoop them into a bowl. Pull off the foil and throw it into the garbage. Pop these suckers into your mouth and enjoy!!
