Hello, my name is Isaac Ruddell, I am 13 and in the 7th grade. I made a hexagon bridge because of a portable bridge I once saw that rolled and unfolded and I said to my self, why not do something similar. This bridge can be assembled and disassembled fairly quickly and can be placed pretty much anywhere.

Step 1: The Frame

First, grab a hexagon and size it to 2’’ in height, 1.732’’ in width, and .125’’ in height. Next duplicate it 10 times and bring all hexagons together as shown(there should be a small gap in between each one. Then rotate the hexagons so that they are standing vertically on the work plane and duplicate. Once you have duplicated it move one of the hexagon frames so that they are side by side and move it horizontally until the combined dimensions are 2x11.

Step 2: The Fitting

Second, take a hexagon and cut in half. Then fit this hexagon into one of the gaps on top of the hexagon frame, once this has been done duplicate it and repeat this until there are no more gaps. Next grab a square and size it to 2’x11’x.125’ and place on top. Then group all of the shapes.

Step 3: The Grouping

Next take a hexagon and duplicate it twice, form these hexagons into a triangular shape as seen above. Then group and make them a hole. next grab a square and center it into the middle of the bottom hexagons and size appropriately to fit. Then group these shapes, once this is done take a cylinder and make screw holes as shown above. Fit this shape onto the intersecting hexagons and make screws to go in it. Repeat this step until all hexagons are fitted. Then group the shapes

Step 4: The Final

Finally, grab 6 hexagons and place them according to the image above and group. Next take a cylinder and size it to a .25 diameter and fit between the hexagons as shown. Then, you are complete, you can put the bridge in any landscape that you want. I put it on buildings that were separated, but now that there is a bridge the two buildings can become united.
