Introduction: Easy String Art
Hello, my name is Megan Schultz and I'm so excited to share this extremely, cute, fun, and easy string art! I'm a 15 year old freshman who goes to Centaurus High School and this is a project for our engineering class. Hope you like it as much as I do!
Step 1:
Supplies:
-Any old piece of wood
-Sewing string
-Nails with a nail stopper on top (preferably white nails)
-Hammer
-Scissors
Step 2:
How to make it:
1.) Lightly trace out your design with a pen or pencil
2.) At every point/ corner, hammer in a nail at about 1/2 an inch from the board
3.) When you have all your nails in, take your string and double knot the end of it to your first nail
4.) FOR STRAIGHT LINES: Loop the string around the nails (loop one at a time and hold the string tight)
5.) FOR FILLING IN AREAS: Use the same "loop one nail at a time" method but looping to other nails in a random order, to cover the open areas
6.) TO FINISH OFF YOUR STRING: Cut the string and tie a double knot to your ending nail
